Hummus contains 60 – 70% water, chick peas, tahini (sesame seed paste), olive oil and freshly squeezed lemon juice. Hummus is also a great tasting source of dietary fiber.
Both chickpeas and tahini also contain calcium which, as we all know, helps contribute to good bone health. Hummus also can help lower your cholesterol due to the lower fat percentage compared to other fiber rich foods.
